Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Vehicle Driver in Whiteville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license and may include mobile patrols across the site. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Perform armed patrol duties on foot and/or by vehicle, completing regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter lines, and parking areas as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or local law enforcement as directed.
• Control access at designated points by verifying authorization, directing visitor processing, monitoring cameras and/or entry systems, and helping to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited items.
• Document observations, patrol activity, and incident response in written reports and logs, and communicate shift updates to the next officer and/or supervisors.
