Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of warehouses, yards, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Control access for employees, contractors, and drivers by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems; report hazards and/or suspicious activity; and complete detailed written reports and shift documentation per post orders.
