As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors and drivers, manage access control and badging, verify credentials, and monitor activity using on-site systems and cameras. You will document incidents and communicate clearly with site teams to help maintain smooth, security-related operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the logistics and distribution location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate sign-in and sign-out records.
  • Answer and route phone calls and radio traffic, relay messages to site personnel, and support coordination of deliveries, drivers, and employee arrivals within established procedures.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels from the front desk, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events in daily activity reports, and escalate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as directed.
