About The Position

As a Security Guard - Lobby Reception Post in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a professional office location, supporting a welcoming environment while helping manage security-related operations. You will greet visitors, verify identification, issue and track badges, monitor access points, respond to alarms and/or panel notifications, and communicate clearly with building staff. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of Security Experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Staff the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, managing sign-in and badge processes as required by site policy, and monitoring access points and lobby activity to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Answer phones and/or radio calls, coordinate with building staff and first responders when needed, and document incidents, requests, and observations in written and/or electronic reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to post orders and client expectations.
