Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and parishioners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or trespass concerns, and request additional assistance as needed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow during services, events, and community programs, assisting with directions, check-in expectations, and/or line management per site instructions.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and follow post orders for shift turnover.
