Security Guard - Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will take the lead on mobile patrols, frequent site checks, and visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements, with most of your shift spent in a vehicle. Bring agile communication, integrity, and teamwork while assisting tenants, guests, and staff.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Monitor access points and property activity, assist with visitor directions, and document observations in daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Communicate clearly with property management, dispatch, and local responders as needed, and support site operations with administrative tasks such as report writing and key or access control tracking.
