About The Position

As a Security Guard - Rover Driver Patrol in Manhattan Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment through routine foot and vehicle patrols, visible presence, and quick, professional response to security-related concerns. You will engage with shoppers, tenants, and store teams, communicate clearly, and document activities with accuracy. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, backed by our agile, reliable, and integrity-led teamwork.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail shopping location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, tenant corridors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe shopper and visitor activity, assisting with direction-giving and reporting suspicious or unusual behavior per site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, lost children, and/or traffic and parking issues, and notify site leadership and emergency services as required.
• Complete security-related reports and daily activity logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate updates to on-site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
