Security Guard - Unarmed Roving Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Roving Patrol in Purchase, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visibly present to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams while documenting observations. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial services location by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe for suspicious behavior, and report concerns in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional resources as needed and documenting actions taken.
- Complete routine activity and incident reports, communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and assist with basic access control and visitor direction as assigned.
