Security Guard
About The Position
The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Security Guard to work out of our Dearborn, MI location. The Security Guard provides security services for employees, company property, and equipment. Who is Edw. C. Levy? Levy is a unique, 100-year-old family-owned company that transforms our recycled products into construction materials, lightweight aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, agricultural products, and more. We provide steel mill services, flame cutting and treatment, road building, logistics, laboratory testing, and a variety of other solutions for our customers. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to operate computer, tablets, cell phones and work with technology driven security solutions
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to work all shifts
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- High School Diploma
- Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods and lift 25 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Prior security experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Verifying security of building and plant operations
- Responding to alarms, performing alarm panel functions
- Maintaining written security logs
- Completing incident reports
- Reporting security issues to Director of Security
