About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will greet staff and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document security-related activity while staying visible to help to deter issues. You will communicate clearly, respond to requests, and support a welcoming experience. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and/or verifying authorization for entry in accordance with facility policies.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems and report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations through approved channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruption. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
