Security Officer - Access Control Monitor
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Coatesville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage access control at entry points, verify credentials, greet visitors, and document activity to support security-related operations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate quickly with site teams. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Control access at gates, guard shacks, and/or entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials against approved lists, issuing visitor passes, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
- Conduct vehicle, trailer, and delivery checks as required, including directing traffic flow, verifying shipping and receiving paperwork, and reporting discrepancies through the established chain of command.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications, written reports, and incident documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter lines, noting unusual conditions, helping to deter unauthorized activity, and communicating observations to site contacts.
