Security Officer - Access Control Monitor
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Breinigsville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and help maintain orderly flow throughout the site. You will remain highly visible, document activity, and communicate clearly with onsite teams to help reduce security-related incidents. You will bring an agile, reliable approach, support a caring culture, and act with integrity through teamwork.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to the location by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining logs, and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
- Monitor inbound and outbound traffic including employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers, with attention to restricted areas, shipping and receiving activity, and perimeter entry points.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing reports and communicating relevant details to site management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns, with working environments and conditions varying by site area.
