As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and support visitor check-in and badge processes. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Screen and log inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, including employee vehicles, deliveries, and service providers, using gate logs and/or access control systems.
  • Verify delivery documentation for inbound raw materials and outbound shipments and communicate discrepancies to site contacts per post orders.
  • Monitor cameras and alarm panels, acknowledge alerts, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access control violations, unauthorized entry attempts, and disturbances.
  • Conduct routine perimeter and facility patrols as required by post orders to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document incidents, access logs, patrol activity, and maintenance issues in written reports and/or electronic reporting systems.
  • Coordinate with site management, transportation personnel, and local responders when assistance is requested, following established escalation procedures.
  • Follow health and hygiene requirements for a food processing environment, including required personal protective equipment use and controlled area entry protocols.
