About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through required communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, processing areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Monitor access control points such as gates, entrances, and employee checkpoints by verifying credentials, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
