You will operate screening equipment, observe for irregular activity, and document incidents clearly while providing professional customer service to associates and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and drivers for authorized entry by verifying identification and/or access credentials, directing traffic through screening points, and documenting access activity as required.
  • Conduct entry screening using approved methods such as package inspection, bag checks, and/or walkthrough screening equipment in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services and completing required reports.
  • Support dock and yard operations by monitoring inbound and outbound activity near screening areas, watching for unusual conditions, and reporting concerns to site leadership.
