You will monitor entry points, verify credentials and badges, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Through routine patrols and clear communication, you will help identify security-related concerns early, assist employees and visitors with directions and questions, and partner with site teams with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and delivery logs.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, access control notifications, and radio or phone requests, reporting unusual activity and documenting incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Screen and direct inbound and outbound pedestrian and vehicle traffic, including coordinating check-in and check-out for trucks and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, building areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
