About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Gate Driver in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and support a smooth entry experience for employees, visitors, and vendors. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is an armed and driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and Act 235 qualification.

Requirements

  • Have 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have Act 235 Qualification Pennsylvania Only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing temporary visitor credentials when applicable, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs per site requirements.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras and/or alarm panels to identify irregular activity and report concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas and perimeter doors, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues.
