Job Description As a Security Officer - Airport Morning Patrol in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- 20+ Years of Age
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate airport and/or government authorities and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Assist with access control by monitoring restricted-entry points, checking identification and/or credentials when assigned, and directing visitors to the appropriate areas.
- Monitor for irregular activity such as unattended items, suspicious behavior, and/or unauthorized access attempts, and communicate observations promptly via radio and/or telephone.
