About The Position

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

20+ Years of Age
Valid Drivers License
Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation facility.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor and/or control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, directing visitor traffic, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to appropriate personnel and/or public authorities.
Complete detailed reports on patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
