You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. This role may involve verifying access, documenting activity, and coordinating with site contacts and local responders. Requirements

  • A minimum of 3+ years’ combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience is required or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to government location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with site contacts and/or public agency partners, and requesting medical assistance when needed.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas by verifying identification, managing visitor processing, screening for prohibited items per site policy, and maintaining orderly entry and exit.
  • Prepare clear, accurate documentation such as daily activity logs, patrol observations, and incident reports, and maintain assigned equipment and armament in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
