Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and professionalism. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government location.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and communicate directions to visitors and contractors in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
- Complete detailed reports of observations, patrols, incidents, and/or policy violations, and maintain logs and documentation per site requirements.
