Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Field Patrol in Homestead, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls with calm, clear communication and customer service. This is an armed post requiring a valid armed guard card/license. You will also drive as part of the assignment, so a valid driver’s license is required. Requirements

Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, residents, guests, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with location management and emergency services as needed.
Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization where required, manage visitor logs, and support orderly entry and exit while maintaining professional communication.
Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, preserve observations and relevant information, and maintain compliance with all armed post requirements, training, and weapon handling protocols.
