Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with assigned duties, post orders, and applicable laws, while maintaining professionalism during interactions with employees, visitors, and the public.
