Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with assigned duties, post orders, and applicable laws, while maintaining professionalism during interactions with employees, visitors, and the public.
