As an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading technology location, you will conduct routine patrols and vehicle rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization, manage entry and exit for personnel and deliveries, and document security-related activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with evacuations or shelter-in-place actions, and supporting first responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports and shift logs, maintain control of assigned equipment, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
