As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy transportation location, you will complete routine patrols and access checks, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile coverage across the site. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, rail yard areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Monitor and control access for vehicles and pedestrians, verify authorization, and follow established procedures for screening, visitor management, and/or credential checks.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate updates through required channels and systems.
