About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Driving Role Patrol in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have a minimum of 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and/or assisting with emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production or hangar areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, managing visitor processing, and/or helping to maintain compliance with restricted area requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and/or operate monitoring systems such as cameras, radios, and access control equipment in accordance with post orders.
