As an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, and it requires Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state and local requirements, and post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with clinical staff and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, checking doors, entrances, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activity.
• Complete detailed security-related documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol observations, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnover.
