Requirements

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting security-related observations and reporting irregular conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and public agencies as directed.
  • Operate access control and screening points as assigned, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor logs, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures.
  • Carry authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements and Allied Universal policies, maintain weapon retention awareness, and complete required reports and documentation for any security-related incident.
