As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will deliver strong customer service while supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative, puts people first, and acts with integrity through teamwork. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.96 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter routes, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Control access points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor processing, and directing authorized persons to appropriate areas in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate resources and providing clear, timely communication to site leadership.
• Complete accurate security-related reports and logs, including patrol documentation, incident reports, and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
