About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Santa Monica, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and staff at a financial institution by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with state and local requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal standards; maintain required documentation and training compliance.
• Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and/or critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas, monitoring entry points, cash handling areas, and other restricted locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete shift documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and/or access control records, and communicate observations to the site point of contact and Allied Universal supervision.
