About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Watchstander in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will patrol interior and exterior areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and partner with site leadership and local responders. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter suspicious activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in, and directing individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete timely reports on patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal management and/or the client point of contact.
