Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Driver in Eden, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a valid driver’s license to move between assigned areas as needed. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to campus community members and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or campus officials as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and check identification and/or credentials as required, helping to control entry, manage visitor access and support special events.
Document security-related observations, incidents and corrective actions in detailed reports, and communicate updates to site leadership during shift turnover.
