About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with calm, professional communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance and coordinating with site contacts and/or local first responders as directed.
  • Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in, and checking deliveries and outbound property in accordance with site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions, and maintain required armed post readiness in line with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
