About The Position

As a Security Officer -Armed Water Plant in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns as they arise. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and emergency partners, and deliver helpful customer service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a guard card.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and direct visitors to appropriate locations in accordance with site rules.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs such as patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts.
