About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Verification Driver in Moncks Corner, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience. This is a driving post. You will also perform routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver service with agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or security-related issues.
  • Support day-to-day operations at a technology-focused location by maintaining accurate logs, reporting maintenance or access issues, and following Allied Universal standards and post instructions.
