As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and visitors, support entry screening and access control, monitor key checkpoints, and document security-related activity. You will stay visible to help reduce incidents, communicate clearly with operations teams, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and onsite personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors at designated entry points by verifying identification and authorization, checking deliveries or parcels as directed, and documenting access activity per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, shipping and receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Complete reports, log entries, and shift handoffs, and monitor alarms, access systems, and/or cameras as assigned to support security-related operations.
