You will help conduct X-ray screening, verify badges and visitor access, monitor designated areas, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific screening procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry screening of personnel and/or items using approved methods and equipment, checking credentials and documenting access as required.
  • Monitor shipping and receiving areas for unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, writing reports, and preserving information for follow-up.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, parking lots, and the perimeter, noting hazards and/or suspicious conditions and communicating findings per post orders.
