Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Bike Unit in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist with access points and visitor flow. You will communicate clearly with staff, students, and guests, document observations, and respond to service calls with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within an educational campus setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, and/or requests for assistance.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations, and complete detailed written reports and incident documentation as required.
• Support access control by checking identification as directed, monitoring entrances and exits, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering.
