As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and drivers, screen visitors and deliveries, check credentials, and document security-related activity while keeping a visible presence. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Being able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries at designated access points, verifying authorization, checking identification, and directing traffic flow per site requirements.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity and report irregularities, policy violations, and/or access issues to site leadership in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting medical response, fire response, and/or evacuation procedures as directed by site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes when assigned, noting and reporting maintenance issues, unsecured doors, and/or unusual activity.
