About The Position

As a Security Officer - Condominium Patrol Driver in La Jolla, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication with tenants, visitors, and property teams, while documenting activity and responding to concerns. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements is required.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or access authorization when required, and assist with directing visitors and deliveries to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant observations during shift handoff to support consistent security-related coverage.
