About The Position

As a Security Officer - Controlled Entry Post in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points and dock or yard access, and document activity with clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support operations with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, grounded in teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Operate access control at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, checking appointments or load paperwork, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry and exit points using access logs and security-related systems, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and disputes at screening points or vehicle lanes.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter, noting hazards, unsecured doors, and/or unusual conditions, and completing required reports.
