About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Reception Desk in Purchase, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access control, visitor check-in, badge validation, and phone and/or radio communications. You will monitor cameras and entry activity, document security-related concerns, and support employees and guests with professional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk of a financial institution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements.
  • Greet and screen visitors, vendors, and contractors; verify identification and/or appointments; issue temporary badges and/or visitor passes per site policy.
  • Monitor lobby activity and security-related systems such as cameras and alarms when assigned, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Answer phones and direct calls, maintain professional communication with employees and visitors, and document routine activity in written and/or electronic logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiate emergency response steps when appropriate, and notify site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
