As a Screener at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor entry points, conduct screening and access control, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors, document activity, and support the team with timely incident reporting and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or deliveries at designated entry points in accordance with post orders, using approved screening methods and equipment as directed.
  • Monitor entrances and staging areas for unusual activity, report concerns promptly, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Verify identification and visitor authorization, issue temporary credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and reports related to screening activity and incidents.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including interior checkpoints and perimeter areas as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
