Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Gatehouse in Twinsburg, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control for employees, visitors, and deliveries, verify credentials, and maintain clear entry and exit logs. You will remain highly visible, perform routine rounds as needed, and report security-related concerns with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Manage access control at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, checking in and out employees, contractors, and visitors, and directing deliveries to the appropriate staging or receiving areas.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow at gates and dock approaches, help to deter unauthorized entry, and communicate entry denials and/or access issues to site leadership as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and escalating per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to monitor for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
