About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Access Control in Schertz, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage employee and visitor entry, check credentials, control vehicle flow at gates, and maintain clear logs and communication. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns with strong customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary badges when applicable, and directing individuals to the proper location.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at gates and docks, confirm appointments and/or delivery documentation as required, and report discrepancies through established post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, perimeter points, and loading areas, noting hazards and unusual activity and reporting findings per site procedures.
