Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Access Control in Garland, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry points, verify credentials, direct visitors and drivers, and support security-related reporting using on-site systems. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• Have 1 or more years of security experience.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification and credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing deliveries to designated check-in areas.
• Monitor security-related systems and equipment such as CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and supporting first responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify conditions that may require attention.
