About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Checks in Aldie, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a utilities location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine patrols across the property, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will document observations using site technology and support a welcoming experience for employees and visitors. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating updates to site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues for reporting.
  • Control access by verifying credentials, monitoring gates and/or entry points, directing visitor traffic, and assisting with deliveries and contractor check-in as required by post orders.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and use radios, phones, and/or other systems to coordinate with site personnel and local responders when needed.
