Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds in Carleton, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a fast-paced tech and media location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control and visitor guidance. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance as directed and completing required notifications.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, studio, and campus areas, including exterior perimeter checks, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access control points, visitor check-in, and badging processes, and support staff with security-related directions and/or routing within the location.
- Observe and report unusual conditions using available technology such as cameras, alarms, and communication systems, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
