Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Full Time
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Full Time in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover larger areas while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, manage visitor check-in and/or vehicle entry procedures, and document exceptions per site policy.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and maintenance issues, and communicate observations during shift turnover and/or to Allied Universal supervision.
