About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driving Role Site Patrol in Glen Oaks, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will complete routine vehicle patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents through timely reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will support residents and guests with strong customer service, clear communication, and calm responses to concerns. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying visitor purpose when required, and assisting with resident and visitor directions and inquiries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting disturbances, medical events, and/or property concerns per site procedures.
  • Document patrol activity and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, communicate timely updates to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support follow-up actions as directed.
